Heroes of Gaia

It's been like 3 years since I've drawn fanart for Terranigma. Pretty long time ago but few days ago I again started to play this tryiogy and this time I finally have finished all three of them^^ For some reason I waited all these years to play Illusion of Gaia, I'm not even sure why.

Ok. I'll probably someday write reviews for Soul Blazer and Illusion of Gaia so I'm going to write here only about my adventure about finding characters arts xD for drawing this little crossover.
First, with Terranigma I didn't have any problems. I even have found better and more clear arts than before and something really cool: [link] ( I just love that kind of style xD ).
Second, with Soul Blazer it was pretty easy. You can just use google images and on the first page you'll find japanese cover with pretty clear image of main character: [link] ( I have to say art style in this is so 80's even if the game is from 1992 ) and for Lisa you can just make screenshot from ending xD
But the really problem I have was with Illusion of Gaia. It's the most popular out of all three( well popular for this tryiogy ) but finding clear art that aren't fanarts isn't so easy. For one this game has different arts for it's american and european versions, yeah it is this weird old practice of trying to make characters look more western. They weren't that bad, at last they were similiar to original( the worst case I've seen was with Landstalker here: [link] [link] original design by the same person that have made Alundra arts and here: [link] I don't even know why and what is it and why in so old style like from 60's xD ) but I wanted to find original design. And I've find it... for some weird reson the designer for this game was a shoujo artist : [link] Even if I'll ignore my own dislike for typical shoujo art it still doesn't fit for jrpg xD it just doesn't. Anyway I ended up with looking on fanarts so there are few changes especially because I've used my own observation of game's sprites^^

Ok, now I'm going back to my comic... at last after a little break for my back and eyes ^^'
